Although Robin Thicke‘s summer anthem “Blurred Lines” has caused some controversy with its racy video and less-than-consensual lyrics, it is still on constant rotation and is championed as a “feel good” sort of tune. Vampire Weekend took this to a new extreme with their goofy rendition of the song over on BBC 1 Radio Live Lounge.

Vampire Weekend takes the song to drunken karaoke levels, purposefully flubbing some of the lyrics (“You’re the hottest fish in this place!”) and going to town with over-the-top falsettos and hard to hide giggles. While it’s hard not to get into the original, it’s even harder not to feel it with this cover.
