South London indie-rock band Bears in Trees released a cover of Twenty One Pilots’ “We Don’t Believe What’s On TV.” The cover was released as part of Rock Sound’s Blurryface Reborn tribute album, celebrating a decade since the release of Twenty One Pilots’ Blurryface. Co-vocalists Iain Gillespie and Callum Litchfield both have very distinctive voices. While the instrumentals on the cover stay faithful to the soul of the original, the vocals alone make the cover sound like a Bears in Trees specialty. Twenty One Pilots is clearly an influence on Bears in Trees’ sound, including their regular use of ukulele in the lineup. Continue reading »
