“Nothing Compares 2 U,” although originally written by Prince for his side project Family, is infamous due to Irish singer/pope-photo-shredder Sinéad O’Connor. While MORRISMCCLYMONT’s cover may not gain as much renown, it is definitely something else.

If you don’t watch the video with this cover, the song – by Rick Morris and David McClymont – is like a karaoke bar trying to close but one heartbroken man insists on singing “just one more” really sad song. Paired with black and white clips from disaster movies, this cover is straight out of someone’s nightmare. This rendition may not be for everyone — OK, a lot of people — but you can tell this comes from some sort of dark, real place for this YouTube artist. Or something.
