While Grimes and 2 Chainz’s matching pants may not have been the highlight of this years VMAs, Grimes singer Claire Boucher has stayed relevant in the music realm with her hit “Oblivion” still winning new fans. In support of their new record, Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action, Scottish quartet Franz Ferdinand stopped by French radio station Oui FM for a cover of the adorable singer’s glitchy tune.

Franz Ferdinand lead singer Alex Kapranos provides his signature croon with a pair of acoustic guitars and romantic vocal harmonies withNick McCarthy. The result is a sweet rendition of a dark pop song that is worth a listen or three.
