After tackling Lady Gaga’s “Edge of Glory” and Britney Spears’ “I Wanna Go,” New York-based musician Andi – a.k.a. Andrea Kristinsdottir – has struck again. In her usual fashion, she’s completely transformed a well-known pop hit into a calming, electronic nu-jazz track. This time around, she’s served up a spacey cover of British singer Cheryl Cole’s “Parachute.”

The original’s repetitive structure seems to suit Andi’s unique style. Rather than sounding like the usual cookie cutter pop song, her version comes across as a relaxing, harmonic chant over soft drums, warping electronic effects, and light bell-rings. The result is a rendition perhaps more fitted for the title of “Parachute” than the original. Download it below.
