Bryan Adams has been on tour for almost a full year promoting his newest record, Roll with the Punches. And since then he’s had support from Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo. But, as he noted at his August 15th show in Detroit, they had yet to join him on stage. Adams remedied that at their penultimate show, where he invited the two Hall of Famers to join him in a tribute to Detroit great, Stevie Wonder. As they walked onto the stage, Adams’ drummer kicked into the instantly recognizable beat of Wonder’s “Superstition.” Adams and Benatar traded off lines while Giraldo and guitarist Keith Scott traded off lead.
“Superstition” was Wonder’s first number 1 song in almost nine years, hitting the top of the charts in 1972. Adams, Benatar and Giraldo finished off their touring together the following night in Milwaukee. Adams has a few more shows scheduled in his native province of Ontario. Benatar and Giraldo have shows scheduled in Las Vegas and on the west coast.
