JER Gives Ska Twist to Twisted Sister

Ska makes everything sound better, even dissent. Musician JER (aka Jeremy Hunter) has offered a cover of a Twisted Sister classic on his Ska Tune Network Patreon page.

Thanking his supporters and accepting the request, JER shared a video featuring him playing every instrument and singing “We’re Not Gonna Take It.” JER, who is also a member of We Are the Union, has been featured here before, covering his take on Phoebe Bridgers.

“We’re Not Going to Take It,” was originally performed by Twisted Sister and written by Dee Snider, the band’s lead singer. It first appeared on the band’s 1984 album, Stay Hungry and reached 21 on the pop music chart. It also was #21 on VH1’s list of “Greatest One Hit Wonders of All Time.”
