i'm with her

Stephen Colbert is an avowed Paul Simon fan, so when the newly minted Grammy-winning group I’m With Her performed on his show, they played the Paul Simon song that appears on their new live album.

“Obvious Child” first appeared on Simon’s Rhythm of the Saints and was a percussive, loud song, but for this performance, I’m With Her stripped it down to three voices and three instruments. And the song lost nothing of its force in this new arrangement. Even the drum breakdown, which ends the song, was represented well enough in their version that the audience broke into cheers when the harmonies resumed.

In a web-exclusive, the group also performed their Grammy-winning song “Ancient Light.”

Sing Me Alive is the name of the newly announced live album and it will be available on April 17th.

  1. That was tremendous!!!

  2. Great rendition. Thanks.

Curious choice, not to mention the names of the three remarkable solo artists who comprise the group.
