Waxahatchee & Kevin Morby

The newest television series Too Much, created by Lena Dunham and her husband, musician Luis Felber, just debuted on Netflix. And the theme song is a cover featuring another couple. Waxahatchee, also known as Katie Crutchfield, and her partner Kevin Morby perform a cover of The Fray‘s “You Found Me,” for the new series. Unsurprisingly, the new cover is a more stripped-down version of the song with the focus being on the interplay between the two vocals.

Crutchfield and Morby’s relationship has been marked by collaborations on cover songs. Last February found them covering Magnolia Electric Co.’s “Dark Don’t Hide It,” and a popular YouTube clip features their performance of Bob Dylan‘s “It Ain’t Me, Babe” at the Sydney Opera House. For the moment, “You Found Me,” is only available on Spotify and not on YouTube or Apple Music.

Cover Me is now on Patreon! If you love cover songs, we hope you will consider supporting us there with a small monthly subscription. There are a bunch of exclusive perks only for patrons: playlists, newsletters, downloads, discussions, polls - hell, tell us what song you would like to hear covered and we will make it happen.
