Just before heading out on their most recent tour, Fontaines DC have released a deluxe version of their 2024 album, with a few additional songs, including one cover. The band’s take on the late David Lynch’s “In Heaven,” is a mash-up, fitting in quite nicely with the band’s own “Starburster.”

The song is sparse, allowing you to clearly hear and feel the lyrics of what Consequence called one of the best singles, while including the haunting song from Lynch’s 1977 film Eraserhead. The song’s release comes only 3 months after Lynch’s passing in January of this year.

The band’s take on both Bring Me the Horizon and Nirvana in another mash up, made our list of the best cover songs of this past March.
