Culps Not Like Us

Valentine’s Day weekend 2025 was partly dedicated to celebrating the 50th anniversary of the launching of the Saturday Night Live. And on Valentine’s Day night, a wide array of musicians performed at Radio City Music Hall to pay tribute to the show. Joining in that tribute were a few SNL favorites, including musicians Marty Culp and his wife Bobbi Mohan-Culp, played by Will Ferrell and Ana Gasteyer.

The Culps, who are know for their unique and one-of-a-kind takes on popular music did not disappoint, including in their set a performance of Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us.”

Introduced with a series of breathing exercises, Marty and Bobbi performed the song accompanied by piano and a pretty simplistic drum machine beat. The two did, however, rap the lyrics that Lamar himself didn’t say during his Super Bowl Halftime performance.

At least we now know which side they are on in the Drake/Kendrick feud.
