Singer Natalie Jean, guitarist Noshir Mody, and multi-instrumentalist Brian Sargent recently covered Radiohead’s “Creep” — twice, in both English and French versions, with help from Grammy-winning composer and producer Kitt Wakeley.

These two covers feature unexpected sonic textures, intricate running string lines, and the depth that only top-notch professional productions can bring forth. The swelling orchestral sounds are the consistent red thread, that one thing that ties all of the splices of feelings and diversified moments together. It’s amazing how a language can take on hues of its own. The resulting English cover takes on plaintive and introspective feelings, whereas the French version feels romantic and bittersweet.
