As a part of a virtual benefit concert for Kentucky flood victims, local Kentucky country artists (and couple) Tyler Childers and Senora May performed a version of the Hank Williams track “Old Country Church.”
Played simply with just a guitar to accompany them, Childers and May slow the track down slightly, adding a sense of melancholy and yearning to the song – perfectly in-line with the lyrics. The original featured Williams’ full band behind him, but this version shows that just two perfectly complementary voices and a guitar can have just as much, if not more, impact with a song.
