Irish rockers Inhaler know how to jump on a good thing – Miley Cyrus‘ latest single “Flowers” isn’t even a month old, but the Dublin band have already covered the track as part of their appearance on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge.

The boys keep the original melody intact, but have slowed the track down slightly, turning up the volume on some surf-rock sounding guitars. They have removed some of the vocal depth however, which is disappointing, as the track feels like it would really work with some male vocal harmonies for the final third of the song (especially since lead singer Elijah Hewson’s father is well known for his vocals). Nevertheless, it’s a solid first high-profile cover for the track.
