There’s nothing to get you out of the southern hemisphere mid-winter blues than a sunny ska cover. Orange County 7-piece Bite Me Bambi have done just that with a superb cover of The Go-Go’s 80’s hit “Our Lips are Sealed.”
The original has all the hallmarks of an ’80s hit, with a prominent bass line, high guitar notes and catchy melodies on the chorus. Bite Me Bambi have kept the original melody intact, but have injected some a ska beat and horn flourishes aplenty. Having already confessed my love for a good skanking, this track had me shaking off the winter blues in my living room. Check out the cover below.\
