As a part of the Korean reality TV show Kingdom: Legendary War, K-pop boy band iKON performed a brash and booming cover of BLACKPINK’s hit “Pretty Savage,” which they titled “Classy Savage.” Some of the instrumental elements have been stripped away, leaving the big beat of the original song, making their tightly choreographed dancing shine.
Slight lyric changes also add some spice to the cover, and an appearance by BLACKPINK’s Lisa for a verse is a respectful nod to the original track. An almost Bollywood-equse escalation of the beat and dancing ends the track on a powerful high note.Check out the cover below.
