After the year we had, it’s understandable that everyone is looking for all of the anger and resentment we’ve had towards each other to be put behind us. Indeed, the Four Songs EP from Los Angeles based songwriter Sara Noelle was designed exactly for this, featuring covers of John Lennon, Youngbloods and Judee Sill, as well as the Oasis hit single “Let There Be Love.”

Originally a guitar and piano based ballad (with a piano line reminiscent of Imagine by John Lennon), Noelle’s version adds strong vocals with echoey keyboard effects to turn the track into an effortless chill out track. While the Oasis original could be read as pleading for love to abound, Noelle’s version is more subtle, designed to calm you down and be absorbed by the music. With the noise in the world getting louder everyday, this version of the track is a beautiful 3 minute and 37 second distraction.
