So that’s how you spell “Jai Guru Deva, Om.”
That’s Candace Leca singing this classic Beatles cut with the lyrics written on 100 different balloons. The video was created by Leca and her husband, Mike Paglia, who plays guitar and piano on this cover of a song they both love and have always wanted to cover.
“We knew we wanted to do something creative and eye-catching,” says Leca. “At first, we weren’t sure what that was. After reading the lyrics through a couple times, the line “words are flowing out like endless rain…” made me think of balloons! I thought maybe a balloon lyric video would be an interesting visual and it was something I hadn’t seen before. We bought 100 balloons and spent the night at Much Digital Studios in Toronto blowing up & decorating all of the balloons one by one. It was a long night, but totally worth it! We’re happy with the end result.”
