‘Will Do’ was TV On The Radio’s first single from one of their most successful albums ‘Nine Types Of Light’. It was a brave choice for a lead-off single, very much a slow-burner of a song, and also had a more convential sound and structure compared to their previous material.
Giving the song a makeover here is Avec Sans, a London duo made up of Alice Fox and Jack St James. Jack’s synth’s provide the perfect bedding for Fox’s vocals. Their reading of the track has a fairly similar sound to Xxxchange’s ‘dancehall remix’ of the track, both that and this version giving the song a more energetic feel compared to the slower original.
