What do an Italian tenor, a coffee company, and a rock band of 20-something New Yorkers have in common? When it comes to music, a lot, it turns out.

Thanks to Starbucks’ Valentine’s Day compilation, Vampire Weekend is stretching their limbs with a cover of Andrea Bocelli’s “Con Te Partiro.” It’s a bold move, but lead singer Ezra Koenig handles the song strongly, hitting notes and bringing in the emotion needed to even attempt this song. The reggae-esque beat in the chorus brings the cover to another dimension, but Ezra’s vocals are quite lovely on this difficult song.

The Starbucks’ Valentine’s Day compilation is out now.
