For their tour together, The Flaming Lips and Tame Impala decided it would be an excellent idea to cover each other’s songs and release them on a collaborative EP. As a teaser, The Flaming Lips (in standard Flaming Lips form) have not just simply covered the song, but have provided a visual element to it as well.
It only makes sense that The Flaming Lips and Tame Impala would tour together, and this cover is further proof. The cover is surprisingly understated compared to the Lonerism standout, but combined with the visual, the raw energy of the original is well captured. As of now, there is no news on the EP being released aside from being sold at their shows, so you best snag some tickets now.
