J Mascis, Dinosaur Jr. frontman and general guitar god, is known more for his loud and impressive shredding skills than anything else. In yet another impressive and admirable move, the frontman has collaborated with LA-based Keep to release a footwear pack for the charity Amma. For only $75, not only are you getting some pretty cool shoes and supporting a great cause, but you are also privy to a limited edition 7” that features this lovely cover of Mazzy Star‘s “Fade Into You.”
Keep is only releasing 360 pairs of the shoes, which feature an embroidered stripe pattern inspired by Mascis’s guitar strap. Mascis’s warm acoustic take on the shoegaze classic is nothing short of stupid pretty. The shoes are selling out quickly, but you can always hear the gorgeous cover below.
