Covering Beyonce is a pretty bold choice. The woman is revered by millions and even considered a goddess of sorts by her hardcore followers. While in Austin, the xx stripped down the Frank Ocean penned “I Miss You,” off of Queen Bey’s “4,” and the result is stunning.

Beyonce’s rendition of the song is full of ache in the most simplistic human form. With their signature minimal style, the xx’s Oliver Sim and Romy Madley Croft manage to use the negative space of their music – along with intense eye contact – to create a new level of vulnerability to the song.

See what the xx are up to on their official website.
