Saint Saviour is an atmospheric/electronic cover producing machine. Over the past year or so, we have featured four covers by the pop seamstress. Her most recent cover, a subdued take on Bonnie Tyler‘s power ballad “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” is a fantastic addition to her quickly growing cover catalog.

What makes this cover so great is Saint Saviour’s almost child-like take on the anthem. Most covers of the 1980s ballad will opt for a more campy or melodramatic take (We’re looking at you, One Direction), but this English musician takes it in the opposite direction, making it feel like it belongs more in a quirky mumblecore film that an overcrowded karaoke bar.
