For their latest single, ZZ Top draw on an unlikely inspiration: Houston rapper DJ DMD, who had a minor local hit in 1999 with “25 Lighters (ft. Lil’ Keke & Fat Pat).” The bearded trio have renamed it “I Gotsta Get Paid,” and fuzz-riffed it out with a classic chicks and hot rods video.

Cee Lo Green’s video for “Run Rudolph Run” also emphasizes girls and cars, but the beards are snow white. His Santa-in-the-summer clip brings the scantily-clad Santas two months early.

We can’t tell you much about Russian band Labirintum (technically “ЛабиРинТуМ”), but despite their goofy masks they bring a whistful melancholy to this seaside Buckethead cover.

Keeping the world-music theme alive, Brazilian vocal band Ordinarius delivered the latest Festa Cover Flow video, tackling the Backstreet Boys’ “As Long As You Love Me.” So good they’ve even made fans of the real band, who posted it on their Facebook.

Following a 9-year hiatus, Canadian indie rockers Blinker the Star returned this year with ‘We Draw Lines.’ Their video for non-album Kate Bush cover “Running Up That Hill” blends a dark narrative about being haunted (literally) by an ex with some unusually atmospheric performance footage.
