We don’t usually do much in the way of concert previews here, but when an artist records a killer cover specifically to generate interest in a show, we’re happy to spread the word. So if you’re in NYC this evening, head to the Studio at Webster Hall to see Ron Pope and Frances Cone. And be sure to heckle them with requests for their tender new cover of Jump, Little Children’s “Mexico.”

Recorded on a Brooklyn rooftop, this slow and lazy jam seeps summer from its sun-soaked pores. A far cry from Pope’s more polished “Somebody That I Used to Know” we spotlighted back in February (not to mention the Katy Perry cover we premiered).
