It’s been a long year since we were first introduced to Virginia’s Gold Top County Ramblers with their epic Guns n’ Roses medley. The wait, however, has ended.
In a similar move to their romp through Appetite for Destruction, the Ramblers have returned with a stunning Beatles medley comprised of “Eleanor Rigby” and “I Want You (She’s So Heavy).” They manage to bring all the gravity of the strings and blues of the respective originals into their trademark freewheeling bluegrass along with an incredible amount of sheer entertainment. This is one cover that was well worth the wait.
