A few weeks ago, we saw Afghan Whigs’ Greg Dulli cover “Paper Thin Hotel” as part of a new Leonard Cohen tribute series Columbia Records is putting together. Now that series, called Old Ideas with New Friends, has three more installments, from Cold War Kids, Cults, and Bradford Cox.

Cold War Kids bring some funk-inflected country-rock to “There Is a War.” Cults (who we’ve heard do this before) deliver a lush, spacious version of “Everybody Knows.” Bradford Cox of Deerhunter/Atlas Sound performs a spooky solo guitar version of “the most haunting song I’ve ever heard,” “Seems So Long Ago, Nancy.” Watch videos of all three below.
