You may remember that back in September we posted an interview with “Fleet Foxes.” That’s “Fleet Foxes” in quotes, since it wasn’t actually Fleet Foxes, but a guy who covered pop songs in the harmony-acoustic style of Fleet Foxes, and did so damn well. Since then, the imposter known as Fleet Foxes Sing has gotten more press, from the likes of New York Magazine and BlackBook (who claims our interview blew the lid on the farce, though it wasn’t exactly a secret).

More importantly, he’s also recorded more covers and posted them all as streams on his Tumblr. People keep asking for downloadable MP3s, though, and we’re happy to premiere some of the most-requested below. This time around, Fleet Foxes Sing tackles pop songs old (TLC), new (Rihanna), and indie (Vampire Weekend). The formula hasn’t changed, demonstrating five more times how well Fleet Foxes Sing can translate falsetto harmonies and back-woods acoustics to Top 40 hits. We can only hope a collaboration with the real Fleet Foxes is next.
