Set to release next Monday comes a split covers EP from a pair of Minnesota bands. Pop-punkers Motion City Soundtrack and bluegrass-rockers Trampled By Turtles take part in a unique swapping of songs. The two-song split EP features each artist covering the other’s track. Motion City Soundtrack tackles Trampled By Turtles’ hot single “Wait So Long” from Palomino, while Trampled By Turtles covers “Disappear” from My Dinosaur Life.
The bands will have a very limited edition blue vinyl 7-inch LP available for purchase on both band’s webstores, at independent retailers and on tour dates. The split EP will also be available digitally on iTunes and Amazon.
Listen to the preview at Rolling Stone.

Not a new idea or unique.

unless those bands in that one EP are from Minnesota as well, I would say this is unique.
Noone claimed is the first time anyone ever did or thought of this.
Don’t think they’re from Minnesota, I think some of them may have heard of Minnesota. You have me there Lol
