The Antlers Space Out on Cover of the xx’s “VCR”

Last year, the Antlers debuted a cover of the xx’s “VCR” on University of Illinois station WPGU. It showed great potential, but, being a live performance on college radio, sounded a bit…flimsy. Now, 19 months later, we have a studio version of the cover.

It builds on the possibility of that radio performance in a big way. Swirling electronics and beautiful keys create a dreamy atmosphere perfect for this slow-burning gem. The cut comes off the Antlers’ upcoming EP (together) and you can download it below. (via Pitchfork)
