Early this year, Drake told the BBC that Florence Welch (of Florence and the Machine) and Jamie xx (of the xx) would appear on his new album, Take Care. The first collaboration never materialized, but we can now imagine all three artists together with Florence and the Machine’s new cover of the albums’ title track.

Florence not only nails the Rihanna hook (perhaps she was originally slated to sing it), but rocks the Drake verses as well. It’s really a cover of a sample of a remix, though, since the “original” borrowed from Jamie xx and Gil Scott Heron’s “I’ll Take Care of U,” which was itself a remix of Scott-Heron’s “I’ll Take Care of You.” The way Florence and her band do it with harp, strings, and thumping drums, it might as well be their own.
