Baths, the moniker of LA musician Will Wiesenfeld, is no stranger to the chillwave and dreamscape music scene. With his latest cover, a tweak of BRAIDS’ “Lammicken,” we get to hear a more experimental and percussion-laden version of the dreamy original.

Baths manages to keep everything that is fantastic about the original – wistful and echoing vocals, the slow, yearning, build – and punctuates it with minimal clicks and ticks of electronic percussion. Baths vocals don’t quite reach the crescendo of that of BRAIDS front woman Raphaelle Standell-Preston’s, but its subdued nature fits the building electronic dreamscape being created.
