High5Collective are a group of Los Angeles directors who have made music videos for artists like Tyler, the Creator and The Weeknd. The catch is, they do so without the artist’s knowledge. They find a song that needs a music video and they just make one. It’s sort of like what high schoolers do on YouTube every day, but with more talent and fewer skate tricks.

Their latest unofficial video is for Mr. Little Jeans’ dubsteppy cover of Arcade Fire’s “The Suburbs.” We first heard this one back in May, but this ominous video puts it in a whole new context. A young woman tries to grow up too fast and winds up with more guilt than she bargained for. That’s our interpretation at least. Watch the clip below.
