Volkswagen commercials are always telling the world how versatile their cars are. You can drive it to yoga! You can drive it to Whole Foods! You can drive it to all sorts of things that are simultaneously zany and free-spirited while still projecting the image of a responsible, professional adult! So the ads tell us.
What the ads don’t tell us is that you can be like Finland’s Porkka Playboys and drive it out into the middle of a field to pull out all the stops on a cover of Queen‘s “Bohemian Rhapsody” without ever getting out of the car. Yes. Somehow, while remaining in their tiny Volkswagen – to be fair, it’s a hatchback so there’s a bit more space – these guys break out an acoustic guitar, an accordion, a trombone, a soprano saxophone, a solid percentage of a drum set, and a flex-tube melodica. And that’s not even taking into account the four-part harmonies. Beelzebub may have a devil put aside for these guys, as the song goes, but VW should be putting aside a contract.

That’s a Soprano Saxophone, not an Oboe, but cool nonetheless.
Thanks for the note!
So good!
And a big thanks for every gem you find !
