What is it about Daft Punk songs that makes for great cross-genre instrumentals? Last month we saw a college orchestra play a knockout Daft Punk medley, and back in December we watched a classical guitar quartet mash together “Around the World” and “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.” Túcan was the group’s name, and now they’re back with an encore.
Their latest video combines “Da Funk” with “Aerodynamic.” As before, it’s a creatively-filmed performance of virtuosos going nuts. The result is dazzling, as dual acoustics play off against a jazzy rhythm section. Check it out below, followed by the aforementioned “Around the World/Harder, Better, Faster Stronger” combo.
