Based in Austin (where we can’t think of anything going on this week), psych-poppers Royal Forest recently changed their name and focus from keyboard-based to guitar-based music. This doesn’t mean a change to extended, self-indulgent psychedelic guitar jams that leave the song behind though, as the band proves in their food-filled video for Bob Dylan‘s “You’re a Big Girl Now.”

The spare production with solitary hammered chords and subtle picked guitar recalls the atmospheric spaghetti western soundtracks of Ennio Morricone, and as the song evolves, it sounds like it’s emanating from a transistor radio.
