Right now, most of us can only look out our windows and dream of the beach. In North America and much of Europe we’ve had a hell of a winter (how many snowstorms have there been on the East Coast, anyway?). Southern Ontario suffered with the rest of you, but that did not stop Hamilton’s Young Rival from channeling the beach in their cover of The Everly Brothers‘ “All I Have To Do Is Dream.”

This recording from their recent Daytrotter session is slow-paced like soft waves crashing onto the shore while you sip your mojito, with super-reverby guitars and laid back harmonies. They sound a little like Best Coast and a lot like the Pixies on the U.K. Surf version of “Wave of Mutilation.” Check out the track below.
