Have you ever heard Appetite for Destruction and thought, I wish this leaned more electropop? Have you long lusted after a Duran Duran cover of “Mr. Brownstone”? Have you wondered what Slash could do with a keytar? Wonder no more! Ruby Isle, the sort-of-tongue-in-cheek cover band featuring Minnesota musician Mark Mallman, covered all twelve songs as infectious dance pop. Axl Rose, apparently, was less than thrilled.

In an admittedly “confused” statement, Kindercore Records announced in January that the project was being pulled from all retail outlets. The clear implication: Guns n’ Roses’ legal team stepped in. Now, though, Mellman has put the whole thing online, tweeting the download alongside a link to Phil Collins’ song “I Don’t Care Anymore” by way of explanation. Once Axl Inc. gets wind, it might be gone again, so grab it while you can below. We’ve got the first two cuts posted here for if/when the full album gets removed. Cue cease-and-desist letter.
