Most of you may not be very familiar with UK dubstep producer Feed Me, real name Jon Gooch, so I can understand if there was some hesitation when he decided to cover Two Door Cinema Club’s extremely popular indie-pop hit “What You Know.” When listening to the original I’m sure very few people felt inclined to suggest a dubstep version, which is unfortunate because after listening to Feed Me’s cover (which also seems to be part remix), I can’t help but wish it had come along sooner. The song, which premiered on BBC Radio 1, is fun, energizing, and most importantly lays to rest anyone’s belief that dubstep can’t do indie. It can, and it can do it really well. Continue reading »

This has been a breakout year for Two Door Cinema Club and Mumford & Sons. Both were fixtures on last summer’s festival circuit, and Mumford & Sons capped off their rapid rise to fame with a standout Grammy performance. This week, Two Door Cinema Club took a break from their busy touring schedule for debut album Tourist History to visit BBC’s Live Lounge, where they covered Mumford track “The Cave.” Continue reading »
