No music blog would be complete without at least one post per week pertaining the most openly debated singer songwriter of the moment, Lana Del Rey. As you’ve seen on Cover Me, not only are we fans, but many of her fellow professional musicians are as well. A while back, Kasabian was one of the many bands that covered her song “Video Games.” While Del Rey was at the Radio One Live Lounge, she returned the courtesy and covered their song “Goodbye Kiss.”
Just two days ago Kasabian appeared on the BBC to cover “Video Games.” Now they’re down in Australia appearing on Triple J. That would make anyone exhausted, and Kasabian paid homage to that feeling with their new cover. They sing the Beatles’ “I’m So Tired” in the Triple J studios and manage to sound at least half awake while doing it.
When we posted our first cover of Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games” a few weeks ago, we predicted we’d be hearing many more in short order. Nailed that one. Just last week Bombay Bicycle Club covered it at the Live Lounge, and now, on their visit to the Lounge, beloved British rockers Kasabian did as well.
