Blondie has a history of churning out quality covers, but they tend to select songs by ’70s peers. David Bowie, T. Rex, and the Nerves have all enjoyed the Blondie treatment, but the band’s latest foray offers a very different choice of source material. It’s Beirut, the world-folk band beloved by indie fans but still well under the mainstream radar.
