Song of the Day posts one cool cover every morning. Catch up on past installments here.

“If you can’t dance to this song, you’re never going to have sex again.” If that quip at the beginning of Harper Blynn’s live cover is right, there may never be a second generation of HB fans. Suffice to say, the crowd in this clip don’t exactly rise to the bait. Their loss. This rocking run through Beyoncé’s “Halo” should by all rights get any warm-blooded feet moving.

Mixing in a little Dirty Projectors appropriate, since Beyoncé and her beau Jay-Z are fans of those Brookyln weirdos. It also works surprisingly well. Still, it’s a relief when they return to “Halo.”
