In honor of the late legend, Norwegian singer-songwriter Aurora recently covered David Bowie‘s “Life on Mars” at London’s Union Chapel. Though not the first time the 19-year old has performed the ’70s hit single – having covered it at several live shows as well as on BBC’s Radio 1 Live Lounge – it does mark her first UK gig since Bowie’s death, and as such, the tribute is apt and beautifully done.

Aided with nothing but muffled electronic keys and her sweet voice, Aurora stuns listeners with her powerful performance of “Life On Mars” – her soft and timid voice providing the perfect emotional delivery to the Dalí-esque imagery in Bowie’s words. This cover will have you in tears.

With her debut album, All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend, yet to be released in March 11, the Oslo-hailing musician is one act not to miss out on.

Keep up with Aurora here – and do watch out for her debut.
