New Jersey’s Marissa Paternoster of Screaming Females has made a name for herself as a whirling dervish of guitar shredding, but if you head down the Eastern seaboard a little more you’ll find someone coming up on her tail: Grace Vonderkuhn of Wilmington, Delaware. After fronting local bands for the past few years, she’s stepped out front with a psyched-out debut EP earlier this year that was hotly tipped by Pitchfork and Vice.

Vonderkuhn’s new single is a cover of “Love My Way” by the Psychedelic Furs, and appropriately enough is both trippy and wooly. It shreds in a haze that more than lives up to those Ty Segall comparisons she’s always getting, with a healthy dose of knobs-to-eleven shoegaze thrown on top for good measure. Listen to our premiere of it below, our second great Psychedelic Furs cover of the fall.
