With their latest visit to BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge, three-time Grammy nominated indie rock group Florence + The Machine let loose with yet another breath-taking cover song – this time around, of Justin Bieber and Skrillex/Diplo’s “Where Are Ü Now.”
The English band take on the track, a synths-laden and catchy pop hit, taking the tune apart and rebuilding it on more organic foundations. Alongside Florence Welch’s signature vibrato vocals, a slower pace, and an expressive band to back things up, Florence + The Machine manage to rearrange the song to capture the emotional essence of Bieber’s summer smash.
