In what serves as an agonizing teaser to their upcoming release, Secret Admirer lets loose a haunting ambient cover of Tears For Fears‘ “Pale Shelter.”

The product of a collaboration between the stylistically eclectic Heinali, spoken word poet Matt Finney, and Gilded Lily‘s Andrew Helinski, the experimental trio transform the 80’s legend’s “Pale Shelter” into a swirling blend of industrial tranquility, drone-infused soundscapes and an undeniably eerie, angst-laden ambience. Finney’s lyrical delivery only serves to enhance the song’s hypnotic quality, his spoken word dialogue rippling throughout the track’s dark ambient backdrop. While Helinski himself isn’t featured on the two-track album, do expect him in the forthcoming debut – one which, if resembling even a tenth of what’s been hinted at here, should be incredibly interesting, to say the very least.
