In what can probably be counted as one of the most oft-covered songs in recent memory, Chris Isaak’s “Wicked Game” receives yet another reconstruction – this time around, courtesy of NY-based POP ETC (formerly known as The Morning Benders).

The 1989 classic is no stranger to being covered, with several dozen indie acts already having done everything imaginable with the brooding ballad – a testament, perhaps, to the timelessness and brilliance of the song. You simply cannot go wrong with “Wicked Game”, and the Californian trio eagerly prove that, as they tenderly take on the song, their rendition starting off with a faint, pulsating beat which then echo over gentle guitars and frontman Chris Chu’s smooth vocal delivery.
