There’s simply no arguing against it: “Something About Us” is a feel-good song – one that’s tinged with memories of summer nights, first loves and last minute road trips.With this tune, Daft Punk masterfully crafts a song for the ages. And boy does Spazzkid do it justice.
Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, Spazzkid is the Moniker of the Los-Angeles based electronic artist Mark Redito. Following international success with his 2013 debut album “Desire”, Redito went on to release a remix album and EP shortly after, further attracting a diverse group of fans to his positive beats.
And with this take on “Something About Us”, he doesn’t let down: Everything from the dreamlike quality of the gently swaying synths to the blissful and bouncing beats screams promises of long, chill nights by the poolside.
This is a cover worth remembering.
