My Body Delivers Strange Take of Frank Ocean’s “Pyramids”

Taking on a sprawling R&B song such as Frank Ocean‘s “Pyramids” is no easy feat, but My Body found a way to do it. The Portland duo, compromised of Jordan Bagnall and Darren Bridenbeck, have been developing their mix of ethereal synth-pop and bluesy guitars since 2012 and it really shines in this cover.

Jordan’s fairy-like vocals play around with the opening lyrics of Justin Timberlake’s “My Love” and then blend seamlessly into Ocean’s emotional verse. Backed by glitchy beats, My Body raises the bar for fellow electronic and synth-based bands with this fresh cover.
